The U.S. labor market bounced back in October after a hurricane-affected September, with employers adding 250,000 workers to their payrolls. September’s job gains were revised downward by 16,000, but employment gains for August were revised upward by the same amount. After these revisions and the strong October performance, the U.S. labor market has added more than 2.12 million jobs through the first ten months of 2018, nearly equaling the 2.19 million jobs added for the full year 2017.
